The level-two one-day plaster course is focused on making a complete plaster system from raw materials that are readily available around the world. You will create complex finishes using fun tricks to help develop new recipe combinations utilizing this single plaster system. The student will be refreshed with plaster theory, reinforcing basic plaster fundamentals. By the end of the class, you will understand the composition of plaster and use this to manipulate the plaster to achieve the desired effect when applied to decorative finish. You will learn what materials can be used in plasters and where to acquire these materials. Also, you will make plaster and use this plaster in plaster exercises, which enables you to understand how making plasters with different materials achieves different results. Hands-on exercises allow you to develop and refine your intermediate texturing skills.
