This three day advanced gilding course will explore the subjects of tip gilding, burnishing, the use of pigments and washes, application of leaf on uneven surfaces, and loose grade leaf. Also, the class discuss the use of guash, real gold and water sizing. Plus, we will discuss the differnce in type of gold size and patent gold. In this class you will be reintroduced to furniture application and restoration on an advanced level. You will conduct hands-on gilding exercises to refine your techniques.
