Class description
206-F Texture Theory
Texture is one of the principle studies for the decorative painter and plasterer. The ability to create texture that invokes a specific response in your customer is priceless. The theory of decorative plaster is simply taught in one day and learned from over a lifetime. The objective of this one-day course is to give you a firm foundation in the principles of texture, including texture tools and mediums, and how to choose and apply texture to achieve specific decorative finishes. You will learn how to decipher existing textures and be able to understand how to replicate those textures. The emotional, physical and behavioral responses to texture will also be covered to give you a better understanding of how different texture styles evoke the desired emotional response. Hands-on exercises will help you develop your intermediate texturing techniques.
