When developing ornamental design for your client, it is beneficial to understand the history of the ornaments' design and style. There are many different styles of pattern spanning centuries. This one-day course will review the historical development of ornamentation and give greater perspective of the ornamental timeline. The class will learn to identify patterns and translate these patterns into concepts through a series of ornamental design exercises.
