Secco painting is the art of painting over dry plaster. It is an alternative to fresco, with a rich ancient history of its own. This is another painting style that will add to your portfolio and increase your marketability. In this class we will lay down the foundation of handmade lime based plaster. You will learn the intricate nature of this plaster and how to employ it. You will manufacture your own paints, compose a layout and execute a secco finish using traditional techniques to assist you in developing and refining the secco style.
