This three day advanced class is composed of three parts: Technology, Painting Drills, and Demonstration and Samples. Students study the nuts and bolts of trompe l'oeil, from sample making, paint preparation, and mediums to understanding light and shadow placement, design selection, layout, light source, and color. The instructor will set students up doing drills to practice striping, fading, tracing, and transferring. Lastly, students pull everything together into faux molding profiles and combination ornaments. You will have lots of hands on exercises to develop and refine advanced trompe `l oeil techniques.
