Class title
101-F1 Water Patina/Glazing INext Class: Fall 2008$350.00Class description
In America we use ancient techniques of decorative painting to create authentic environments that transform our perseption of space. The most common way for us to change our environment is by adding Patina to walls. With color you can change an enviroment to suit your clients needs. By adding subtle movement with your color, you can also create the illusion of age and elegance. In this way, learning the principles of painting, glazing and color washing is essential to the decorative painter. Given almost any ornament, mural or decoration in its raw form can be very bold, yet with the simple addition of faux patina your work can take on the emotion of an antique piece. Adding a patina to walls in your clients home can be very lucrative. In this one-day course, you will learn and understand glazing; color washing; negative glazing; positive color washing; wet-edge walking; feathering; Dry brushing; slip coating and watermarking. You will conduct hands-on exercises to develop and refine expert water patina techniques. Come see the latest technology in water borne mediums and see why they are a better choice for a lot of applications.
